Destination Wedding at Villa Vera Alicante – Emma & Kevin

Feb 9, 2020

This destination wedding at Villa Vera is one of those examples that explain why more and more international couples choose the Costa Blanca to get married… and enjoy a few days of proper holidays at the same time. And yes, the Irish accent is still my favorite.

Today I’ll show you how Emma & Kevin’s wedding day unfolded at Villa Vera.

How a destination wedding at Villa Vera begins

The morning starts in Playa Flamenca, with the bride surrounded by her bridesmaids and closest family. Polaroids, pajama party vibes, laughter, a radiant bride, an emotional grandmother, a father holding back tears… and a message from Kevin that makes Emma even more impatient to see him.

Ceremony at San Miguel de Salinas Church

The arrival at San Miguel de Salinas Church immediately shifts the rhythm of the day in this small town in the Vega Baja area.

Emma arrives with her father in a classic Cadillac. Elegant, understated, but making it clear that this moment matters and there’s no turning back. Kevin sees her walking in and everything pauses for a second. Music starts. Looks, tension… and we stay in position, waiting to see what happens next.

Inside, a traditional ceremony with the exchange of rings and vows. And once it’s over, everything happens outside.

They walk out into the afternoon light, confetti, hugs and energy everywhere. The Cadillac is already waiting at the door to take everyone to the venue. No time to waste — guests are ready to celebrate, and we leave the family photos for later at Villa Vera, with better light and no rush.

Emma and Kevin get back into the Cadillac, toast, and smile. It’s done. Now it’s time to enjoy it.

Cocktail and celebration at Villa Vera

We arrive at Villa Vera — this is where everything really starts.

Emma and Kevin walk into cocktail hour relaxed, greeting everyone, laughing and finally enjoying the moment, drink in hand. Meanwhile, we handle the family photos quickly and efficiently — no drama, no delays.

The reception space is ready, carefully set, and live music by violinist Mike Bow starts building the atmosphere before everything kicks off.

Entrance to dinner, applause, energy building. Then one of the strongest moments of the day: Emma dancing with her father, accompanied by live violin. Everyone is on their feet.

Speeches, toasts, laughter… and when things settle slightly, Mike Bow returns with the violin and brings everyone back up again.

Then comes the first dance. Manu steps in with the sax, the dance floor fills instantly, and from that moment on, no one is holding back.

And to close the day: cake cutting with cold fireworks in front of Villa Vera. Music, lights, and a strong finish before things get a little too wild.
